Joel
Minner - Owner
Mr. Minner received his degree in accounting from Empire State
College in New York, and began his bookkeeping career working
for a small retail company in 2002. Initially working as a
bookkeeper, he was promoted to office manager supervising
a small staff. In late 2002 he founded Minner’s Bookkeeping
and took on additional small business clients. Over the last
few years he has gained practical experience in all aspects
of bookkeeping from computerized data entry of accounts payable
and accounts receivable to bank reconciliations. He expanded
his qualifications by learning and preparing payroll and employment
taxes for theses smaller clients. In continuing his education
and adding to his experiences he became a Certified QuickBooks
ProAdvisor in 2004. He is currently a Certified QuickBooks
ProAdvisor for 2003 QuickBooks and later versions. In addition,
Mr. Minner continues his education by participating in CPE
courses with the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers
(AIPB), attending classes with the IRS, and taking courses
with other professional associations.
Sharon Minner - Office
Manager
Ms. Minner joined
Minner’s Bookkeeping & Tax Preparation after working
in a similar position in a retail store in New York. In that
position she gained experience working in an office running
the day-to-day operations and assisting the bookkeeper with
computerized data entry. Ms. Minner gained experience and
training in computerized data entry in multiple accounting
software programs through hands-on training. She is currently
trained in all the accounting software programs being used
by Minner’s Bookkeeping & Tax Preparation. Ms. Minner
constantly works to improve her skills and knowledge through
continuing education course such as AIPB courses, QuickBooks
certifications and classes with other professional associations.
